Today Oak Hawk, from the Indiana Farm Connect program, came to the farm to meet with us today. It was a great visit. The reason for the visit was to tell us more about the Farm Connect program and how they can help us to sell more beef. We talked about several options of where our beef could be marketed and the area that I felt I needed more education on to help market our beef ourselves. The program is to eventually increase local food purchasing. It could be through schools, colleges, local restaurants, consumers from surrounding cities, etc. But with the contacts the Mr. Hawk has he hopes to lead us to additional buyers.
